Surplus Books Program

The Surplus Book Program has been temporarily suspended as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Please continue to submit the form below, as all requests will be kept on file and processed at a later date when the program resumes.

Our office participates in The Library of Congress "Surplus Book Program," which enables us to receive donations of books that the Library no longer needs for its own use. If you know of or work with a worthy organization that would like to expand its library with free books from the Library's surplus, please fill out this Surplus Book Form telling us about your organization and the number and topics of books you are looking for. Our staff will visit the Library periodically and select books that meet all reasonable requests, and the Library will send the books directly to your organization.
