Rep.-Elect Phillips Signals Support for Capitol Hill Sexual Harassment Reform Plan

EXCELSIOR, MN - Rep.-elect Phillips released the following statement today on lawmakers’ deal to overhaul how Congress handles incidents of sexual harassment:

“I am encouraged that members of both parties have come together around a reform package that empowers survivors, eliminates reporting roadblocks and places liability on perpetrators, where it belongs. This is exactly the type of meaningful work that voters are eager to see their representatives to take on -- another step on the long road of restoring a government that is run -- and trusted -- by the people. Minnesota has long sent effective legislators to Washington, and I look forward to standing with Senator Klobuchar and other leaders in Congress who are working to pass these overdue reforms.”
