Today Gun Violence Prevention Task Force Chairman Mike Thompson (CA-05) announced that Member-Elect Dean Phillips (MN-03) has joined the Task Force for the 116^th Congress.

“Thoughts and tweets don’t save lives — courage and action save lives,” said Member-Elect Phillips. “I am committed to advancing commonsense solutions to address our nation's gun violence epidemic, and I look forward to joining my colleagues on the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force in the new Congress to do just that."

“Dean is a fierce advocate for advancing solutions to combat gun violence, standing up to the gun lobby throughout his campaign,” said Chairman Thompson. “His voice and strong background on this issue will be an asset to our Task Force as we work to pass legislation that will help address the issue of gun violence.”
