Today, U.S. Chamber of Commerce honored Rep. Dean Phillips (MN-03) with a 2020 Jefferson – Hamilton Award for Bipartisanship. The newly-unveiled award recognizes members of Congress who demonstrate the bipartisan leadership and constructive governing necessary to move our country forward. With a score of 98%, Rep. Phillips is one of the top 10 bipartisan leaders in the House of Representatives.

Phillips, a member of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus, worked closely with U.S. Chamber of Commerce on his Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act. The bipartisan bill, which was signed into law on June 5, made critical reforms to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), a crucial source of relief for small businesses during the coronavirus epidemic.

"I'm on a mission to inspire a new era of collaboration in Congress," said Phillips. "When the Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act was signed into law last week, we proved that Republicans, Democrats, and the private sector can lead together. Here's to more meaningful teamwork."
